Tanned skin, Bald , Blue-ish uniforms. Hot sun

As the title says, Its all about Nasional Service (NS), Program Latihan Khidmat Negara
Its an experience you wont normally get in your everyday lives, being disciplined, mixing with a whole lot of other races, seeing & meeting different kinds of people, getting to know new + awesome friends.

The 1st month of NS was just really boring, we have loads of character building and kenegaraan classes where you normally just sleep inside the class.
sometimes we have videos to watch which is part of the class too, trust me you'll sleep too :x

After CNY all the REAL activities finally starts, including Water sports, Kembara halangan(travel restrictions), Jungle tracking, Camping, High ground sports, SHOOTING and its also the time where we get TANNED, try standing under the hot sun around 2.30 for at least 20 minutes everyday, I look like a Malay now haha

March 13 the day everyone's so excited about

Nasional service its really a one time only experience, waking up really early, bathing ice cold water in the morning(around 5.30 or 6am) every single day, disciplining myself to workout, improving my canto and BM etc.etc.

Talking bout one of the instructors in NS,
letme introduce to you Mr Armupillay or Pillay.
He's like the-most-popular-instructor in the camp especially among the guys.
WHY?
Letme tell you why :)
Well most of us hate him at the begining of camp, but towards the middle of camp, all of us starts loving him , Im very happy and glad for him to my companies' instructor too.
Like all adults or parents they're really strict when it comes to work, but when we have fun we really have fun together, That's Pillay
He was scolding us almost every single day, but soon we actually get use to it and find it funny.

For example, he'll always come to dorms and "shoo" muslims to pray, he'll be holding a cane , walking into the dorms and whack muslims that doesnt go for prayers, His famous saying : Wira muslim cepat pergi sembahyang atau kamu yang akan desembahyangkan!

Or every single morning, he'll come to the dorm to wake us up in a very UNIQUE way, One hand holding a 1.5 L bottle filled with ice cold water, u dont wake up?? get ready to get sprayed with water, after waking everyone up his famous sayings : Good morning everyone, all Muslims buat persiapan to go for prayers, the others make sure your room is clean!

Oh he's always full of vulgar when there is only us trainees, when there are other teachers, zero vulgar from him hahah
He loves making fun of people with his serious face and end up laughing himself too, ending everyone laughs with him haha
He's more like a father to us, a really good one :)

Something else bout camp, The food and some random stuff
Food i'll give a 3 out of 10 haha
Normally their breakfast and dinner is the killer, imagine having ketupat and soup together. :x   or normal fish(ikan kembung) boiled with water and added with some kind of kunyit soup thing. :s
tak boleh tahan la hahah

There is this 3 meter rule in the camp
where u have to stay 3 meter apart when you're talking to the opposite sex, which i think is really ridiculous, cuz we're like sitting 3cm apart in classes haha
The malay teachers are really against BGR in camp, oh well.


One more extra thing bout camp, the phone line there SUCKS, LIKE REALLY SUCKS.
If you're in the dorm, you're most likely to have this on your phone "emergency calls" or " no network coverage"
So everytime we get back our phones we have to go to a certain spot outside the dorm and everyone will gather there just to get LINE/coverage
But we cant stay there till late night, the instructors will shoo us off to the dorms so the next place will be the edge/end of the dorm where we'll stick to the walls as close as possible just to text or call.
Its one really unique experience we have there haha


Coming towards the end of camp, everyone starts bringing real expensive gadgets to camp, Iphone, Blackberry, Laptops, DSLR, PSP
its like they're not afraid of losing their belongings.
but well in our camp, there were 4 phones lost, yeap and up till now no one knows who stoled the phones.

oh talking bout phones we normally get our phones back on weekends, and that is also if nothing goes wrong, we'll get the phone on saturday afternoon and give it back on sunday night.
If there were problems or troubles we'll only get our phones on sunday itself and yeah give it back on the day itself, "awesome" much? == i know its ridiculous

Ahhh there are many more that i can really share but it'll take ages and i cant rmbr everything one shot, talk to me and ask me questions i'll share every single thing bout NS haha
Well i guess thats it for now, maybe i'll update this post somemore , Its SPM results in like 10 hours time , really stressed up now :s
gahhhh gotta try sleeping and face reality soon! :O

One more thing im frustratd bout, March or July intake gahhhh :(
